9ct Rhodalite Garnet & Lab Grown Diamond Ring
A 0.63ct round rhodolite garnet flanked by two round brilliant lab grown diamonds (0.38ct total), bezel-set with milgrain edging on a fine 9ct yellow gold band.
This is a ring for someone who loves the look of a classic trilogy but wants the centre stone to carry colour and personality instead of conforming to the standard white-diamond template.
Why this ring works
The rhodolite garnet is the centrepiece, and it's a stone most people underrate. Rhodolite is a member of the garnet family known for its deep raspberry-pink to wine-red colour — richer and more violet-toned than a ruby, brighter and more saturated than a standard red garnet. With a coloured centre and white diamond shoulders, the structure works particularly well: the diamonds frame and brighten the colour without competing with it.
The bezel settings with milgrain edging tie the whole piece together. Bezel settings (where the gold wraps fully around the edge of each stone) protect the stones, keep the ring snag-free, and give the piece a softer, more heritage look than claw settings. The fine milgrain (the beaded texture around each bezel) adds a vintage detail.
The warm gold tones deepen the wine-red of the rhodolite and lift the brightness of the white diamonds at the same time, so neither part of the ring feels flat. Yellow gold also has the slightly antique quality that suits the milgrain detail to perfection.
