Why this ring works
Two carats of oval covers the finger, and this one grades right at the top. D colour is as high as diamond colour goes, completely colourless, and VS2 keeps it clean to the eye. The elongated oval shape stretches the finger and makes an already generous stone look even larger.
Tucked under the centre is a hidden halo, a ring of small diamonds set into the head where you catch them only from the side. They lift the oval and add a flash around its base, a detail more for the wearer than for show. The white gold head keeps the centre reading bright and icy.
Small diamonds run down each shoulder and stop short of the setting, so the band sparkles without crowding the stone. Underneath, the band is yellow gold, which wraps the finger in warmth and sets off the white-set head above it. Warm and cool, working together.

A note on lab grown diamonds
A lab grown diamond is a real diamond. It's identical to a natural diamond chemically, optically, and physically. The only difference is how it formed: a natural diamond grew in the earth over billions of years, while a lab grown diamond was created in a matter of weeks under the same conditions of heat and pressure. Once they're cut and polished, only a gemmologist with specialised equipment can tell them apart.
What is a Type IIA diamond?
Type IIA is the rarest classification of diamond. Only about 1 to 2 percent of natural diamonds qualify, because the structure contains almost no nitrogen, which is what gives most diamonds a faint colour tint. Type IIA stones are the purest and most chemically perfect diamonds on earth. In a natural diamond this purity is extraordinarily rare and priced accordingly. CVD lab grown technology can produce Type IIA reliably.
