About garnet
Garnet is not one stone but a whole family, and the classic deep red is the one most people picture, coloured by iron in the crystal. It's a stone with a long history, worn since ancient times and once carried by travellers as a talisman for safe passage. The name traces back to the Latin for pomegranate, after the deep red seeds it brings to mind.
