Multi-Stone Amethyst Band | 9ct Yellow Gold

A row of amethyst in pink and purple shades, bezel-set along a 9ct yellow gold band, each stone a different cut. One gem family, spread right across its range of tone.

The interest is all in the variation. Emerald, oval, square, round and pear stones sit side by side, the colour running from deep grape purple through to soft pink, so the eye keeps moving along the band. Every stone has its own full gold bezel that holds it and sets it apart from the next.

About amethyst
Amethyst is the purple form of quartz, coloured by a trace of iron in the crystal, and it has been prized for that colour for thousands of years, once valued alongside the rarest stones until large deposits were found. It runs from pale lilac and soft pink through to deep grape purple, which is exactly the range this ring plays with.
