Lily | 1.52ct Oval Lab Grown Diamond Solitaire Ring | Diamond Set Band | 18ct White Gold

Sale price$5,480.00

A 1.52ct oval brilliant cut lab grown diamond, D colour, VS2 clarity, four-claw set on a diamond-set 18ct white gold band. Made to order, please allow 4-6 weeks.

Why this ring works

The oval is the shape people keep coming back to. It has all the fire of a round brilliant, but the longer outline stretches the finger and makes the stone look bigger for its weight. At 1.52ct this one already has real presence, and the elongated cut only adds to it.

D colour is as high as diamond colour goes: completely colourless, nothing warming it, which reads especially clean in white gold. Paired with VS2 clarity, it's eye-clean and bright right across the stone.

Small diamonds run down each shoulder, with a band that tapers in towards the top too, which frames the centre and keeps it light on the hand.

The head is a simple four-claw, set high so the light gets underneath the stone from every angle.

A note on lab grown diamonds

A lab grown diamond is a real diamond. It's identical to a natural diamond chemically, optically, and physically. The only difference is how it formed: a natural diamond grew in the earth over billions of years, while a lab grown diamond was created in a matter of weeks under the same conditions of heat and pressure. Once they're cut and polished, only a gemmologist with specialised equipment can tell them apart.

What is a Type IIA diamond?

Type IIA is the rarest classification of diamond. Only about 1 to 2 percent of natural diamonds qualify, because the structure contains almost no nitrogen, which is what gives most diamonds a faint colour tint. Type IIA stones are the purest and most chemically perfect diamonds on earth. In a natural diamond this purity is extraordinarily rare and priced accordingly. CVD lab grown technology can produce Type IIA reliably.
