A round brilliant sits in the centre, ringed by a halo of smaller diamonds. The halo makes the centre stone look larger than it is, because the eye reads the whole bright circle as one diamond. A note on lab grown diamonds

A lab grown diamond is a real diamond. It's chemically, optically and physically identical to a natural one. The only difference is how it formed: a natural diamond grew in the earth over billions of years, and a lab grown diamond takes a matter of weeks. Once they're cut and polished, only a gemmologist with specialised equipment can tell them apart.
