In a channel setting there are no claws. The diamonds sit in a row between two walls of gold, held by their edges, so the top of the band is smooth from one end of the stones to the other. Nothing catches on knits or hair, and the gold walls protect the diamonds’ edges from everyday knocks. That makes it one of the most practical ways to set diamonds in a ring you’ll wear every day.

The stones sit close together, so the row reads as one continuous line of light framed in polished yellow gold. As a wedding band, it sits neatly beside an engagement ring. On its own, it works as a dress ring, on the ring finger or the other hand, or stacked with plain gold bands.

A lab grown diamond is a real diamond. It’s chemically, optically and physically identical to a natural one.
