Lab Grown Emerald Cut Diamond Pendant | 1.00ct D/VS2 | 18ct Yellow Gold
A 1.00ct lab grown emerald cut diamond pendant in 18ct yellow gold. Diamond is April's birthstone, set here as a single-stone pendant.
An emerald cut doesn't sparkle the way a round brilliant does. It's cut with long, flat facets in parallel steps, so instead of scattered sparkle you get broad flashes of light moving across the stone, like looking down a hall of mirrors. It's a calmer, more architectural look, and at a full carat there's plenty of stone for the steps to show.

A note on lab grown diamonds
A lab grown diamond is a real diamond. It's chemically and optically identical to a mined one, formed in weeks rather than billions of years, and once it's cut you can't tell the two apart by eye.
Hardness: 10 on the Mohs scale, the hardest of any gemstone. The cut corners are the one weak point, and the claws are there to cover them. Have them checked now and then.
Birthstone: April
Come and see it in the cabinet at Craigieburn. An emerald cut needs to be seen moving to show what the step facets do.
