Diaspore is one of the rarest colour-change gemstones in the world, mined in commercial quality in only one place - the Anatolian mountains of Turkey. Its colour shifts with the light: warm champagne, honey and pinkish tones under soft indoor light, cooling to green, khaki and grey-blue in daylight. Because fine large stones are so scarce, diaspore is a true collector's gemstone. You may also see it sold under the trade names Zultanite or Csarite.
