Emerald-Cut Created Emerald & Diamond Ring | 9ct Yellow Gold

An emerald-cut emerald set east-west in a clean bezel, with a small bezel-set diamond either side, on a slim 9ct yellow gold band. A rich green centre kept low and easy to wear.

The emerald lies across the finger rather than up and down, which shows off the long lines of the step cut and makes the stone look wider on the hand. A full gold bezel wraps and protects the edge, and the two little diamonds sit in their own round bezels either side, lifting the green without taking anything from it. The band stays fine so the balance sits with the centre stone. The emerald itself is a created stone, which is what puts a green this deep at an easy price.

About emerald
Emerald is the green member of the beryl family, the same species as aquamarine and morganite, and its green comes from traces of chromium and vanadium in the crystal. It's one of the classic precious stones, prized for that deep green for thousands of years. The emerald in this ring is a created stone, which means it was grown in controlled conditions rather than mined: it's the same material as a natural emerald, with the same colour and makeup, just formed in a lab, which is what makes a green this rich so affordable.
