This is the oval-and-halo cluster most people picture when they think of a blue sapphire ring, and it's a shape that flatters a rich stone like this one. The sapphire sits high at the centre, ringed by round diamonds in a scalloped white gold frame that lifts the blue and makes the whole cluster read larger than the centre stone on its own. At 3.65 carats it has real depth, a dark midnight blue that glows against the bright diamonds around it.
