Why this ring works
D colour, VVS2 clarity, 1.50ct - this is about as good as a centre stone gets. D is the very top of the colour scale, completely colourless, and VVS2 means the clarity is virtually flawless to the eye. In a round brilliant, the cut engineered for maximum fire, that combination reads as pure, bright light.
The hidden halo is the detail that makes this ring. Beneath the centre stone, a ring of tiny diamonds is set into the head where you can't see them face-on, but they catch light from the sides and lift the centre stone visually.
The six-claw head holds the diamond securely and raises it high, so light reaches it from every direction. Six claws also give a slightly softer, rounder outline than four.
Diamonds run down each shoulder of the band, so the sparkle continues all the way around the finger, and the crisp all-white gold keeps everything reading bright and icy with no warmth from the metal.

A note on lab grown diamonds
A lab grown diamond is a real diamond. It's identical to a natural diamond chemically, optically, and physically. The only difference is how it formed: a natural diamond grew in the earth over billions of years, while a lab grown diamond was created in a matter of weeks under the same conditions of heat and pressure. Once they're cut and polished, only a gemmologist with specialised equipment can tell them apart.
