Concept Design: Toi-E-Moi (Emerald & Pear)
A two-stone ring pairing an emerald cut and a pear cut diamond, set side by side in 18ct yellow gold.
What is a Toi et Moi?
Toi et Moi means "you and me" in French. It's a two-stone ring format where two diamonds (or gemstones) sit side by side rather than around a single centre. The design dates back to the late 1700s — Napoleon famously proposed to Joséphine with a Toi et Moi ring — and it's had a major resurgence in the last few years.
Each stone represents one half of the partnership. The two cuts don't have to match. The two stones don't even have to be the same type. The whole point of the design is that it's personal.
This concept
This version pairs an emerald cut with a pear cut, set in 18ct yellow gold with claw heads. Both stones read clearly as themselves, but they work together as one ring.
Everything can be changed
This is a starting point, not the only option. You can change:
- Stone shapes (any combination — two ovals, oval and pear, oval and emerald, marquise and pear, whatever lands)
- Stone type (diamond, sapphire, ruby, emerald, your partner's birthstone, an heirloom stone reset)
- Lab grown or natural diamond
- Carat weight of each stone
- Metal (yellow gold, white gold, rose gold, two-tone)
- Band style (plain, diamond-set, twisted)
- Claw style (V-claws, prong claws, bezel set)
