Champagne Diamond Star Halo Ring | 18ct Yellow Gold
A 0.47ct round brilliant cut natural champagne diamond, framed by a star-shaped halo of 30 round brilliant white diamonds totalling 0.50ct, set on a fine diamond-set band in 18ct yellow gold. This is a ring for someone who doesn't want the same thing everyone else has.
Why this ring works
The champagne diamond is the centrepiece, and it's the reason this ring feels different. Most diamond rings chase the whitest, iciest stone possible. Champagne diamonds go the other way — they're naturally warm, with soft cognac and caramel tones that catch light differently to a colourless diamond. They're rarer than people realise, completely natural, and they pair beautifully with yellow and rose gold. If you gravitate toward vintage, antique, or anything that doesn't look mass-produced, this is the kind of stone that'll feel made for you.
The star-shaped halo is what gives this ring its personality. Instead of a standard round halo hugging the centre stone, the 30 white diamonds are arranged in four extending points — north, south, east, west — creating a compass or star silhouette. It's the kind of detail that reads as intentional and considered up close, but still wears comfortably day to day. The white halo diamonds (F-G colour, VS clarity) also do something clever here: they brighten the warmth of the champagne centre, so the ring feels rich rather than muted.
The diamond-set band carries the sparkle down the finger rather than stopping it abruptly at the halo. At 1.70mm wide with a low radius profile, the band sits close to the finger and doesn't compete with the head, it supports it.
18ct yellow gold ties the whole thing together. Yellow gold warms the champagne diamond and gives the white halo diamonds something to glow against. A white gold version of this ring would lose half its character, the metal choice here is doing real work.
The diamonds
- Centre: 0.47ct round brilliant natural champagne diamond, C6/C7 colour, VS clarity
- Halo + band: 30 round brilliant natural white diamonds, 0.50ct total, F-G colour, VS clarity
- Total diamond weight: 0.97ct
- All natural diamonds
C6/C7 is a mid-range champagne grade — enough warmth to read clearly as a champagne diamond, but not so dark that it loses brilliance. VS clarity across the board means every stone is eye-clean. The white halo diamonds at F-G colour are in the "near colourless" range, which is exactly where you want them sitting next to a coloured centre, bright enough to lift it, not so icy they fight it.
