About blue topaz
Blue topaz is one of the more accessible coloured stones and one of the most versatile, because it comes in such a spread of blues. The trade sorts it into three main shades: sky blue (pale and icy), Swiss blue (a bright mid-blue) and London blue (the deepest, inkiest and most collectible), and this ring sets the lightest against the darkest. Almost all blue topaz begins life colourless and is treated to bring the blue out, which is standard across the trade and completely stable.

Birthstone: December (alongside tanzanite, turquoise, and blue zircon).
