Belle is an Art Deco style engagement ring in 18ct white gold, with a 0.70ct natural emerald cut diamond framed by baguettes and round brilliants. An emerald cut is a quiet shape. Its long, straight facets give broad flashes of light rather than scattered sparkle. Belle builds a frame around it, with a baguette down each long side and a round brilliant at every corner, so the stones together read as one larger emerald cut outline. The baguettes are step cut like the centre, so their lines stay clean and calm, and the rounds at the corners soften the rectangle with a bit of sparkle. It's a 1920s way of building a ring, and the 0.70ct centre wears larger than its weight. Clarity matters in an emerald cut because the open facets let you see into the stone, and at VVS2 this one is very clean. The band underneath is plain, keeping the focus on the head.
