Australian Sapphire Five-Stone Ring | 9ct Yellow Gold | Exclusively Paton's Place
Five round natural unheated Australian sapphires in alternating teal, yellow and green, rub-over set with milgrain detail on a 9ct yellow gold band. Exclusive to Paton's Place.
Five sapphires sit in a row across the band, each a different tone, teal-blue through lemon-yellow to forest-green, so the colour shifts along your finger as the light catches it. They're rub-over set with a fine milgrain edge, which keeps the ring snag-free and hard-wearing and gives it a soft heritage feel. Every stone is Australian, and every stone is unheated, which is genuinely uncommon: most coloured sapphire is heat-treated, so five untreated stones in one ring is a real point of difference.

About Australian sapphire
Australia is one of the world's great sapphire sources, with gemfields across central Queensland and northern New South Wales. Its sapphires run from deep blue to teal, green and gold, and many are worn untreated, just as they came out of the ground. As a form of corundum, sapphire is one of the hardest gemstones there is after diamond, so it takes everyday wear beautifully.
Hardness: 9 on the Mohs scale
Birthstone: September
