Why this ring works
The asscher cut is one of the most underrated diamond shapes in fine jewellery. It's a square step-cut with cropped corners, almost octagonal, that creates the famous "hall of mirrors" effect inside the stone. Instead of the rapid-fire sparkle of a round brilliant, an asscher gives you long, slow flashes of light that look more like staircases reflecting back at you. It's a quieter, more architectural kind of beauty.
The trilogy setting is a classic for a reason. Three stones traditionally represent past, present, and future, and beyond the symbolism, it's a setting that genuinely makes the centre stone feel bigger and more important. The two straight baguettes act like architectural columns, framing the asscher and emphasising its geometric lines.
