A 2.03ct Asscher cut lab grown diamond engagement ring with two baguette side stones, in 18ct yellow gold with a white gold setting. 

An Asscher is a square step cut with cropped corners, which gives it an almost octagonal outline. Its facets are cut in steps and looking down into the stone you see square rings stepping inwards toward the centre, often called a hall of mirrors. The light comes back as broad, slow flashes rather than the quick sparkle of a round brilliant.

The centre and side stones are held in white gold, and the band is 18ct yellow gold. Step cuts show colour a little more readily than brilliants, so white gold around the diamonds keeps them looking bright and white, while the yellow band brings warmth to the hand.

A note on lab grown diamonds
A lab grown diamond is a real diamond. It's chemically, optically and physically identical to a natural one. The only difference is how it formed: a natural diamond grew in the earth over billions of years, and a lab grown diamond takes a matter of weeks. Once they're cut and polished, only a gemmologist with specialised equipment can tell them apart.
