About sapphire
Sapphire is the gem form of corundum, and while most people picture it blue, it grows in nearly every colour, blue being the classic and best loved. That blue comes from traces of iron and titanium in the crystal, and the deepest stones read almost midnight, like this one. It's one of the hardest stones there is after diamond, which is part of why sapphire has been worn and handed down for centuries and takes everyday wear so well.
