Why this ring works
The princess cut is the most geometric diamond shape we sell. Four clean corners, square face, and a brilliant faceting pattern that throws fire and sparkle the same way a round brilliant does.
The four corners are protected by claws that wrap around each point, which is the right engineering choice for this cut (princess corners can chip if left exposed, the same way marquise points can).
The diamond-set shoulders carry sparkle all the way down the finger. Small round brilliants run along the top of the band in shared claw settings, which is the technique that makes each accent diamond look like it's floating without visible metal between them. The diamonds run partway around the band so the ring can still be comfortably resized later if needed.
18ct white gold keeps the ring crisp and cool. The princess cut works best in white metal because the geometry of the stone reads more clearly without warm tones from yellow gold prongs distracting from the clean lines.
A note on lab grown diamonds
Lab grown diamonds are made of the same material as mined diamonds: pure carbon, crystallised under intense heat and pressure. The only difference is where that process happens. Mined diamonds form over billions of years deep in the earth. Lab grown diamonds form in a controlled chamber over a matter of weeks, using the same chemistry. Chemically, optically and physically, the two are identical. Same hardness, same fire, same sparkle, same certification standards. No naked eye can tell them apart. Only a gemmologist with specialised lab equipment can identify the difference.
