1.02ct Pear Cut Lab Grown Diamond Engagement Ring | Halo & Diamond Band | 9ct White Gold

A 1.02ct pear cut lab grown diamond engagement ring with a diamond halo and a diamond-set band, in 9ct white gold. A pear has one rounded end and one point, so it sparkles like a brilliant, runs along the finger and has a sense of direction that rounds and ovals don't. Three claws hold it, with a V-claw capping the point, the most fragile part of the stone. The halo follows the pear's outline exactly, rounded at one end and pointed at the other, and makes the centre look larger. Small brilliants in fine claws continue along the top of the band, so there's no plain metal between the halo and the shoulders.

Clarity: VS1. Clean to the eye, with small inclusions only visible under magnification.
Type: CVD grown, Type IIa. Type IIa diamonds contain almost no nitrogen, the element that gives most diamonds a faint tint. Only about 1–2% of natural diamonds are Type IIa, including some of the most famous stones in history, but CVD growth produces it consistently.

A note on lab grown diamonds
A lab grown diamond is a real diamond. It's chemically, optically and physically identical to a natural one. The only difference is how it formed: a natural diamond grew in the earth over billions of years, and a lab grown diamond takes a matter of weeks. Once they're cut and polished, only a gemmologist with specialised equipment can tell them apart.
