What makes the perfect Pendant?

Looking to gift the perfect pendant? There are things to consider including size, colour, material and style...

A pendant is often delicate piece of jewellery, commonly used to embellish a necklace, a pair of earrings or a bracelet. It is made from various different types of materials such as metals, glass, wood, fibres and ceramic. They can be attached to the different necklace types such as the rope, silk, chain, leather necklace. The most stunning types of pendants are of course made of diamonds.

If you're looking to buy the perfect pendant as a gift for your special someone, it is necessary to consider different factors. Let’s take a look at how you can find the perfect pendant that suits your needs:
  1. Consider its size: Check out her style, does she like fine delicate jewellery or bold? Classic or Modern styling?
  2. What is it made from: Classic would be more your traditional gold or silver metals set with semi precious stones. Modern stylings can still be made of these metals but think wood, rope, ceramics, silks, chain etc
3.  When she would wear it: Are you looking for something she can wear everyday or more for special        occasions? Gold and silver are still the most popular choice for everyday wear as it is harder wearing than the    more 'fashion' jewellery metals.
4. Length of chain: One of the most important decisions is the length of the chain on which the pendant will    hang.  This is important for how balanced the pendant looks and also what item of clothing she will be wearing it with.  Open collared/v neck shirts best suit a 40-45cm chain, where as boat neck/turtle neck/round neck tops best suit 50cm or longer.
